I watched this movie soon after it was released in dvd.
I was never a super hero or comic book fan, but generally I enjoy mainstream movies with big budgets. This was not the case, at all.
In fact, this was the worse film I have ever seen. I just had to make a review about it because it was so ridiculously bad!
I don't know if what I am about to write is consider spoiler, it might be, but I had to make a comment on that.
The guy is just an ordinary human and then he is the newest green lantern space hero, whatever, and there are about 3500 of them, some have been around for an eternity. OK, he begins to train his abilities and he sucks very bad, and as usual he gets a little better after a while. But then, there is the bad "thing" (I would say guy, but that doesn't apply), all powerful and mighty and enormous. And the best, most experienced, GL in the universe battle together against him and lose. But the human is special somehow, and is able to do what no other GL have done, and he kills the motherfucker bad "thing", saves the day and everybody lives happily after!

I know that super hero movies are not supposed to be accurate, or realistic, but this one is just stupid!
I don't want to offend anyone that liked this movie, but that is just my opinion: this movie sucks! I can't think about a worst movie, and I have seen a lot of bad films, they are usually funny, this one wasn't, it is just terrible.

This movie amazed me. It is so simple, magical and beautiful!
It is the fourth Miyazaki movie I've seen, and it is strange, that I loved Princess Mononoke and Howl's Moving Castle but I didn't like Spirited Away very much. But this one, for some reason, I think it might be my favorite!
There is something very special about those two girls, and it is not just the fact that their so cute.
But I didn't realize how much I loved this movie until the very end.
I think any animation fan should watch it. It is very "delicate" and emotional, and some people (including myself) might not wanna give it try because of that. But for those I say: it is just 1h22min and you may actually enjoy it.

I was very disappointed with this one. After reading so many good reviews I thought that I might enjoy this.
I like sci-fi movies. I am not really a fan of Star trek and Star wars and I didn't watch the series, maybe that is why I found this movie to be just awful!
I think that it is by far the most overrated film that I have ever seen.
I don't know, to be fare it actually has a potential interesting plot, but then, it just get cliche, with bad script and a few mainstream action scenes, which aren't bad at all, but very predictable. In the beginning it shows great potential, it develops a nice anticipation, but then somewhere in the middle they blow it, and then it is just a regular space/action movie with a meaningless plot.
And also, I found the characters generic and with no real personality, it was also bad acted.(actually Summer Glau acting isn't all bad)
But for those who liked the series, or are interested in cliche space/action movie this might be entertaining.
